champagne supernova in the sky

i've given into the whole blog trend of posting pictures of supernovas, nebulas, etc. (i'm actually learning a little bit about that kinda stuff in geology right now) these pictures are just too cool to not post though. p.s. did you know that the recent earthquake in chile made saturday 1.26 millionths of a second shorter?
